Wall Hammer
Wall hammer - 2017 – Wood, IC, wire, electric motor, relay, PIR sensor – 140cm x 80cm x 10cm
The work was made as part of my Qbank residency in Queentown, Tasmania.
Hit
This piece uses wooden hammers to hit a surface to make sounds on almost any flat surface, making it part of the instrument. The hammers are triggered by infrared sensor that detect movement. Complex sound patterns are formed by the triggering of different sensors.
